After the application is received by Axios, a rapid screening will be performed to ensure that information provided is complete. When the application is complete, it will be sent by Axios to independent experts for review and recommendation. Pfizer will make the final decision regarding program approval.
Approval and Next Steps
Approvals are announced in a letter from Axios to the applicant program. A shipping sheet will be sent to each approved program for completion. Details concerning the quantity of Diflucan®, timeline, and shipping procedures will be defined in this sheet. The applicant should provide the exact shipping address and other information required for sending the drug to the country (e.g. invoice, packing list, import license, pre-shipment inspection, etc.). After the shipping sheet has been received by Axios, the applicant will be notified of the shipment schedule.
Logistics
The prescription and use of Diflucan® requires the donated product to be registered in the country of use. If these dosage forms and indications of Diflucan® are not registered, the applying organization must have a special import license to receive this donation of medicine.
Pfizer is offering Diflucan® free of charge and will cover the shipping costs and insurance up to the point of entry in the countries. The recipient is responsible for all other charges.
Dialogue, Database, and Reporting
There will be an ongoing dialogue with participating organizations. A progress report must be sent to Axios either every six months or when the donation is renewed, whichever comes sooner. A standard template will be provided to each institution.
The information from the application and the date of the regular progress reports will be entered into a database maintained by Axios. This database will provide data on the number of organizations participating in the Diflucan® Partnership Program, the reported number of patients benefiting from Diflucan® in each country, and other relevant programmatic information.
Resupply
The participating organization wishing to reorder will be asked to provide the progress report and complete one page outlining the quantity of Diflucan® requested and the justification for the amount. Pfizer reserves the right to amend this request based on information collected on the organization's program.
Note: Pages will open in a new browser window.
