About the Program
Via
the Diflucan®
Partnership Program, Pfizer‘s
antifungal medicine Diflucan® (fluconazole) is made
available free of charge for the treatment of cryptococcal
meningitis and esophageal candidiasis, two opportunistic
infections associated with HIV/AIDS, to governments and
nongovernmental organizations in developing countries.
Countries with HIV/AIDS prevalence greater than 1 percent
will be given priority.
Diflucan® for donation is available in the following dosage
forms: 200 mg tablets (pink in color),
200 mg intravenous vials and 50 mg/5 ml powder for oral
suspension for pediatric use.

The Diflucan® Partnership Program

Health, a nonprofit organization that
provides essential products and services for emergency,
health and development programs, receives the initial
donation of
Diflucan® from Pfizer. IMA World Health reviews and approves
applications and provides the medicine to the successful
applicant organizations.

worldwide pharmaceutical and health care company, manufactures
Diflucan®
and
donates it to IMA World Health.

Axios, a leader in implementing public
health programs, processes the applications, maintains databases and
monitors re-ordering for the applicant
